Courses

In 2007 we ran our courses in our workshop which had been built in the HUB courtyard at Sleaford, Lincolnshire, on 1st October 2007 we are transfering to a larger unit in Sleaford and as soon as we are reorganised our courses will be returning!

 We usually have no more than 4 people per course and often run courses for only 1 or 2 - so why not organise a day course for yourself and a friend! Prices vary from £75 to £180 depending on course, size of bear produced and mohair used.

All courses are with a booking fee of £25 the remainder payable 4 weeks before the date of the course

We run different courses on a variety of subjects:-

• Basically Bears Day (£75)- a beginners bear making day - a full day course by the end of which you will either have completed 'Sam' or will have nearly finished him/her and will possess the skills to finish him/her at home. Sam is approx 10 inches tall and you will be given a choice of 4 mohairs prior on payment of the final invoice. You will also have the option of purchasing clothing kits to make later at home
• Have Fun with Mohair - make a funky bear with a variety of hand dyed mohair and ultra suede
• Double Head Joints - how to make a bear with a double jointed neck
• Altering a Pattern  - the first step to designing your own bear - how to adapt a pattern to make changes to the bear's style and shape
• Dressed Bears - a 2 day course to make a bear complete with clothes
